Calle Ferner

Ferner Jacobsen is a family-owned and run retailer in Oslo, Norway. Representing style, elegance and etiquette, the store is a one-stop for sophisticated yet modern individuals.

Calle entered the family business for the first time in 1986 and has worked full-time at the company since 1994 after a stunt at Harrods in London. Today, he is the Store Manager as well as the Chairman of the Board.

"I am both proud and humble, knowing that I am a part of continuing the traditions that Ferner Jacobsen has."

Calle Ferner

Ferner Jacobsen celebrated 100 year anniversary in 2016, and is still in the hands of the family, with several generations involved. Even the 4th generation is well represented as Store Manager for the women's department.

The store continues to dress a part of the Norwegian population, specifically of Oslo, with a mixture of classic and timeless staples as well as contemporary brands.

At SWIMS, we are fortunate to call Ferner Jacobsen as one of our most esteemed retailers (it was in fact one of the first stores to sell SWIMS). In occasion of their 100th anniversary, we have created a special edition parka in collaboration with Ferner Jacobsen; solely available in Ferner Jacobsen stores.

"The most important detail is to give the customer a positive experience."

Calle Ferner

"I was slightly skeptical when I first heard about these new galoshes, but when SWIMS' founder showed up with a pair of bright orange ones, I was sold!"
